The chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” resonated across Mumbai as the city celebrated Ganeshotsav with great enthusiasm. During the immersion processions, many social and political organizations came forward to arrange food and water for the devotees.
Near Versova Metro Station in the Versova Assembly area, the Aslam Lashkaria Foundation organized a massive food stall, where arrangements for meals and refreshments were made for lakhs of devotees. More than 50 volunteers worked tirelessly, continuously serving food and water to the visitors.
Every year, hundreds of Ganesh idols are immersed at Versova Beach, attracting thousands of devotees. This year too, Shri Aslam Lashkaria and his team ensured that no devotee went hungry or thirsty, setting a remarkable example of community service.
It is worth mentioning that Shri Aslam Lashkaria is not only a respected social worker but also the owner of Lashkaria Builders and Developers, known for several landmark constructions in the region.
